The 1st World Congress on Innovations for Livestock Development will be held from 26th to 30th June 2016, at Sentrim Elementaita Lodge, Nakuru, Kenya.

The congress is organised by the European Union-funded iLINOVA project ( which is a collaboration between Egerton University, Kenya, Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Malawi, and Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.

The theme for the congress is “Fostering Innovations for the Livestock Industry”. The sub-themes for the congress include: (a) Innovation input systems; (b) Sustainable production systems; (c) Livestock marketing, agribusiness, food quality and safety; (d) Role of gender and crosscutting issues in livestock development.
